The place
The ruins above Lettere preserve towers, walls and a wide volcanic panorama. The exposed position makes weather and visibility central to the visit.
A castle built around the view
The site controlled routes across the Sarno plain. Today its open terraces connect the surviving architecture with Vesuvius and the gulf.
