Roscigno Vecchia grew empty after repeated landslides and relocation orders. Its stone houses, square and small museum document rural life without turning the settlement into a staged attraction.

The value of Roscigno is the relationship between empty streets, damaged buildings and the surrounding landscape. Some structures remain unsafe and barriers must be respected.
Allow about two hours for the square, lanes and museum. Pair it with the Calore Gorges only when daylight and road time leave a safe margin.
