Aeclanum preserves baths, houses, streets and public buildings across an open archaeological field near Mirabella Eclano.
A city read from the ground
Low walls and street lines reveal the Roman plan gradually. An introductory panel or guided visit makes the remains much easier to interpret.
The site is exposed to sun and weather, so ninety unhurried minutes work better than a rushed roadside stop.

Use the official entrance near Passo di Mirabella along the Appian route. Visitor parking is available close to the entrance.
Museum opening hours and weekly closures apply. Shade is limited across the excavation.
