The place

Laceno is a broad highland basin above Bagnoli Irpino. Short walks, forest roads and seasonal activities make it flexible, while fog and winter conditions require mountain planning.

More plateau than lakeside resort

The water level changes and should not define the whole visit. The surrounding beech woods and open plateau are the lasting attraction.

Choose a short marked route and avoid treating unmarked forest tracks as shortcuts, especially when cloud lowers.
